Humulene emits a slightly bitter, woody aroma that is often reminiscent of hops. Strains known for their content of Humulene include Thin Mint, Chemdawg 91, and Sherbert. Isolated Humulene can be naturally sourced from hops (Humulus lupulus), sage (Salvia officinalis), japanese spicebush (Lindera obtusiloba), ginseng, spearmint (Mentha spicata), ginger (Zingiber officinale), and the Chinese laurel (Antidesma bunius).
