Safety &Quality
Leading the Way Forward with a Process Centered Around Safety, Quality, and Compliance
We frame innovation in terms of safety first. We’re committed to helping to elevate safety standards and regulatory compliance in the markets we serve. That’s why we’ve made Consumer Safety the number one driver of our Safety, Quality, and Compliance Programs.
We operate under the strictest safety and compliance standards of any US state and Canada. Our quality positive release program includes:
- Residual Solvent Analysis and Reporting from ISO 17025 certified laboratories
- Pesticide Residue Analysis and Reporting from ISO 17025 certified laboratories
- Primary Metals Analysis and Reporting from ISO 17025 certified laboratories
- Toxicology Specification Limits Analysis of all new formulations
Our Continuous Materials Review (CMR) program fills a gap for toxicology research in our young industry and keeps us ahead of the curve in a changing regulatory environment. Our team of research scientists led by Dr. Shawna Vreeke continuously assesses ingredients for safety based on the very latest scientific data.
Quality Assurance
Third-party Auditing Systems Keep Safety and Consistency at the Core of Our Process
- ISO 9001:2015: The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000 family of standards is the international standard for Quality Management Systems. This ensures that we provide consistency in products that meet regulations and exceed customer expectations, with a focus on safety, performance, and fitness for end-users.
- FSSC 22000: The Foundation Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 builds on ISO:9001 with an emphasis on Food Safety Management Systems woven throughout our supply chain and operations. This brings confidence that we are thinking about safety in every stage of our operation, from conception to packaging.
- GMP: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are the standards required to conform to the batch-to-batch quality and safety benchmarks recommended by agencies that oversee the manufacture and sale of consumer goods. The purpose of GMP is always to mitigate harm from occurring to the end-user.
Regulatory Readiness
Our robust regulatory and product safety teams empower you to create with confidence, with the support you need to meet product and label requirements in every market while delivering the inspired, authentic, quality product consumers expect from your brand. When regulatory changes do occur, our team of industry experts hold the knowledge and understanding to help our customers navigate a shifting landscape.
Unless otherwise stated on the label (QR Code), COA, or SDS, the recommended intended use for an unopened product is one year from the date of purchase or listed manufacturing date. It is crucial to observe product label directions and store terpenes properly to maintain product integrity. Terpenes are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and may degrade over time. Customers may contact our quality department at info@trueterpenes.com to obtain further information regarding a specific production lot.
