Disinfectant Surface Spray

Inspired by our friends at Hybrid Pharms, who have been producing hand sanitizer with our True Terpenes Isolates, we created a quick and effective disinfectant spray. With the heightened awareness on health and sanitation these days, you might be wondering what you can do to keep up with all the disinfecting regimes necessary in the workplace and at home. Costs begin to add up and stores are running out of typical cleaning supplies. No need to worry – we have a solution!

Here’s an inexpensive way to create your own surface disinfectant that is easy to make and smells good, too. It incorporates True Terpenes Camphor Isolate which is commonly found in jasmine, tea tree, and lemongrass. You might recognize the scent from using medicated chest rubs which clear sinuses and ease the lungs during respiratory ailments.  Did you know that Camphor also acts as an antifungal, antiparasitic, antimicrobial and insect repellent?

Combine this with isopropyl alcohol and you can also combat viruses as well. Just be sure to follow the dilution instructions. The alcohol actually needs to be mixed with some water so it can more easily penetrate the membranes of whatever it contacts, thus killing viruses as well as other unwanted substances.

Soothing Disinfectant Surface Spray

24 oz. spray bottle

1 cup water

2 cups isopropyl alcohol 99% (available at more stores and online)

5 drops True Terpenes Camphor Isolate

Directions:  Pour all ingredients into the spray bottle and shake well. Label clearly. Spray on high-traffic surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, handles, etc.  After spraying, allow the formula to sit for a few seconds, then wipe off. You may also choose to let it air dry on it’s own.  Use caution when spraying on wood or delicate surfaces as the ingredients could potentially damage the finish. Remember to shake the spray bottle thoroughly before each use so the ingredients are mixed well.

All of us here at True Terpenes wish you safety and good health!
